Contact and Communications Policies:
To contact me, send an email to Chris@ChrisAllsop.com.
I normally check my email twice a day, Monday through Friday. And I usually check only once on weekends (after all… we all have other things to do on weekends!)
So unless you send me an email late Friday afternoon, I will respond within 24 hours. (And when I’m working with a client, my response rate is usually faster!)
If I’m going to be away from my email for an extended time, you’ll get an “out-of-office” message that tells you when you can expect a reply.
Discussing the Project and Questionnaire:
After you contact me about a potential project, I’ll send you a Discovery Questionnaire. Your answers will help me to get to know you. They also help both of us to clearly define the project scope and the results you’re looking for.
Now, I ask a lot of questions, because I want to understand your business, your customers, your products, and your goals. So to make things easy as possible for you, I offer you two options to complete this questionnaire:
Option 1: I send you the Word file OR a link to the questionnaire through Google Docs, along with a request to return it to me as soon as possible. No pressure… but most clients return the questionnaire to me within one to three business days.
Option 2: I send you the questions and we arrange a call (by phone, Zoom, or Skype) where I’ll record your answers.
Whichever option you choose, I’ll review and study your answers. From there, I prepare a short Project Roadmap. I usually email your Roadmap 5 to 10 days after I get your Discovery answers.
My goal is to create a Roadmap that accomplishes three things:
- It allows you to see if I fully understand the project and the outcomes you want.
- It gives you some ideas and suggestions for marketing materials and systems that you may not have considered.
- It forms the basis for our Launch Call.
When I send you the Roadmap, I also schedule a Launch Call. This call allows us to tweak and finalize the Roadmap so you have a clear idea of what I’ll deliver.
Once that’s set, it’s time to finalize a project agreement. If your legal team has a standard agreement, I am happy to start with yours. Otherwise, I’ll send you mine to review.
Investment and Getting Started:
I’ll develop a Project Agreement with you that outlines the project deliverables and deadlines. This includes revisions on copy, which are always a part of any project.
Your Project Agreement will also list your investment for the project and terms of payment. (Note: I require 50% of the project total to get started. Most of my clients prefer to pay by bank wire.)
I often work with a performance-based pay, such as royalties or bonus payments. This allows me to keep fees reasonable. It also assures you that I’m doing my best work to give you a high return on your investment.
Once we have both signed the Agreement, I begin working on the project as we agreed.
As for your investment…
That depends on what you need, based on the Discovery Questionnaire and your Project Roadmap. If needed, we can pick and choose priorities to fit your budget, and then expand the project as your revenues grow.
That way, you get top strategies and quality copy, right from the beginning, even if we have to scale the project over time.
